Description:
In this class, students will learn about the problems and issues reflected in business. Students will learn about how they impact others, organizations, as well as the environment. They will become familiar and evaluate social, environmental and management issues in business. Students will look at the problems these issues create, as well as come up with solutions in overcoming these issues. They will learn how to use reliable research in finding new information. Students will learn and develop the necessary skills to engage in business, management and administration. They will learn about integrity, and how to demonstrate it in the workplace. They will examine why ethics are important and how to positively influence others. Students will learn about leadership traits, civic responsibility and creating a personal brand. They will also discuss the key elements to being a successful manager, and planning effective meetings.
